FARM practice is facing one of its most challenging times at the moment, and the problems are all the more acute in areas of low stock density. According to Peter Orpin, opportunities do exist, but certain critical factors relating to practice structure and outlook will make the difference between practice survival and demise in years to come. Now is the time for practices in this sector to take a long hard look at how they are structured and where they are going. In this article, he outlines key factors to consider and suggests possible solutions to some of the main challenges.
