THE veterinary profession has never faced so many different challenges as it does at present. The changing requirements of clients across the spectrum, together with political and regulatory developments, play a major role in forcing practitioners to identify opportunities for improving the quality of the service provided. In this article, Martin Grundy describes the philosophy for coping with changes in the marketplace which proved successful in the practice in which he worked for almost 30 years.
