THE current economic downturn in agriculture is having knock‐on effects on veterinary practices, with the result that some are having to consider very carefully their position in the marketplace. There are a number of alternative ways forward open to practices in this situation, one of which is for two neighbouring practices to merge. In this article, Dixon Gunn explains the process.
