THE main causes of chronic palmar foot pain that may be differentiated are foot imbalance, navicular disease and distal interphalangeal joint disease. This article discusses the treatment and management of these problems and, where possible, indicates the likely outcome. An approach to the investigation and diagnosis of horses with palmar foot pain was described in the last issue (pages 358‐366).
