CERTIFICATION is surrounded by a minefield of dangers and export certification is one area where specific problems often arise. Despite the relaxation of EU directives and the extension of the single market, export documentation still requires time and considerable effort from the veterinarians involved. The world is continually shrinking with regard to transportation, communication and trade and export certification is a growing area of veterinary practice.
