THE Disability Discrimination Act 1996 requires that disabled people are treated no less favourably than able‐bodied people. As Alison Hudd explains in this article, simply being aware of the many forms of disability, and being able to cope with them thoughtfully and sensitively, can make a visit to the vet much less of an ordeal for a disabled client.
