WHEN a sector of practice starts to decline, a stage may eventually be reached when the question arises of whether the practice should remain involved with that area of work. Dropping a sector of work is not straightforward, however. As this article explains, much thought is required, balancing reasoned calculations against the desire to offer a service to all the clients of the practice.
