ENGLISH is the international language of science which, combined with an inherited legacy of friendly nations (in the form of the Commonwealth), makes working abroad a viable possibility for many in the British veterinary profession. Working abroad can offer a change of environment and a chance to learn new skills, to experience other cultures, to travel, to enhance income, to help people and their animals, to deal with new species and diseases and to conduct scientific research.
