In a previous article ([i]In Practice[/i], March 1996, p 135) Keith Matthews discussed the information that should be presented to a bank when requesting financial backing. This article outlines some of the options available for reducing the charges made by banks simply for handling a practice's money. It also looks at the need for adequate security ‐ both for premises and personnel ‐ when handling sums of money.
