CERVICAL pain is a common presentation in small animal practice and often results in significant distress to both the patient and owner. It is of the utmost importance to obtain a prompt definitive diagnosis so that the prognosis can be determined and appropriate management instituted. Radiography and cerebrospinal fluid analysis are the two most useful ancillary aids.
