ALPHACHLORALOSE is used as a rodenticide and bird poison. It has been employed in the past as a general anaesthetic agent for laboratory animals because of its central depressive properties. It is presented as oatmeal‐type particles (4 per cent alphachloralose) or cake crumb/cereal preparations (2 per cent alphachloralose).
