The abdominal incision is closed in three layers comprising simple interrupted sutures of 1 (4 metric) vicryl in the linea alba, a continuous suture of O(3 * 5 metric) vicryl in the subcutaneous tissue and a continuous suture of 4 Supramid in the skin.
