Background: Fasciola hepatica is a common parasite of grazing livestock, which causes considerable economic losses through high levels of morbidity, mortality and reduced productivity. Its prevalence has increased in recent years, probably due to environmental changes. Aim of the article: This article focuses on sheep, highlighting some current issues and offering new insights into how fasciolosis can be better managed in this species.
