In the dilemma discussed in the July/August issue of In Practice , David Williams described a scenario where you, as a newly qualified vet, are asked to officiate at a greyhound track in place of the senior partner at the practice. One dog you check is clearly lame and you advise the owner that it shouldn’t race. The owner takes the dog for a ‘walk’ while you examine the other dogs and when he returns the dog is no longer lame and goes on to win the race. You suspect the dog was given a prohibited anti‐inflammatory injection ( IP , July/August 2018, vol 40, pp 262‐263). What do you do?
