Needlestick and sharps injuries are common in veterinary practice but often go unreported. In this article, the authors, all members of the Veterinary Products Committee of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, discuss the risks for veterinary workers and suggest strategies to prevent needlestick injuries in practice.
