Flexural deformities of foals and growing horses can be divided into congenital (present at birth) and acquired (developing after birth) groups. Although the content of this article could apply to both groups, this first article in the series will focus on congenital flexural deformities, while a second article, to be published in a subsequent issue of In Practice , will discuss acquired deformities.
