With over 10,000 living species of reptiles recorded, there are a vast number of reproductive strategies found throughout the reptile world. This article discusses the basics of normal reproduction in reptiles and focuses on the common reproductive problems – follicular stasis, dystocia, cloacal prolapse and neoplasia – seen in reptiles kept as pets.
