Work experience is an established part of life for many veterinary practices. School children look for their first taste of the working world, while older students look for vital insights to support their studies or new careers. Lantra, the Sector Skills Council for environmental and land‐based industries, recently carried out an online survey to review work experience in the animal health and welfare sector. Here, Lisa Jarvis presents the results and discusses the findings.
