Members ofMycobacterium abscessus complex (MABC) are frequently isolated from patients. Studies have reported that predominant clones of MABC (known as dominant circulating clones; DCCs) are distributed worldwide and transmitted from humans to humans in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF).
