The draft genome sequence of a novel virus was determined from a leafhopper insect (Exitianus capicola ) via transcriptomic sequencing and rapid amplification of cDNA ends. Results of the sequence alignment suggested that the new virus is a member of the genusIflavirus , familyIflaviridae .
