Attention is drawn to the errors that might arise in allowing for the direct energy in a receiving enclosure. Formulas are developed for the mean direct energy density throughout the room and also for its dependence on the distance from the radiating wall. Comparisons with the reverberant levels in the room are made for various assumed distributions of wall absorption.L'auteur attire l'attention sur les erreurs qu'on peut commettre en tenant compte de la puissance acoustique trasmise directement \ue0 une enceinte r\ue9ceptrice.
