Spine SBRT is a common option for spine radiation therapy. This session will describe the clinical implementation of a spine SBRT program using linear accelerators, Cyberknife, and gimbaled devices. Treatment planning, QA, treatment delivery, patient immobilization and setup, and commissioning will be discussed. The goals of spine SBRT clinical workflow are common to all treatment devices but clinical practices depend upon the treatment device and differences will be detailed. Tolerances of patient setup, immobilization and imaging are defined by the close proximity of the spinal cord to the target and tolerances will be discussed along with error minimization practices. Published studies regarding the clinical rationale and implementation of spine SBRT will be reviewed.
