1. The inulin content of plasma and urine has been followed for 24 to 48 hours after a single injection in a number of adults. 2. Successive inulin clearances during this period show a marked fall. 3. Reasons are given for considering delay or incomplete recovery of urine as relatively minor importance in causing the fall. 4. As probable causes of the fall, tubular reabsorption and inhomogeneity of the inulin are discussed.
