1. When chyle is added to the plasma of rats which have received an intravenous injection of heparin, the extent of clearing is determined by the quantity of plasma albumin present. 2. After clearing, the lipid which has become soluble can be recovered quantitatively from the albumin fraction of the plasma proteins in the form of fatty acid.
