1. Figures are given of the regression of the combs of Bantams after adult castration. There is a greater regression of height than of length. 2. The percentage of regression in height varies with the initial size, but in length is almost constant at 40 per cent. Consequently, whereas the level reached in height is fairly uniform, there is a wide variation in the level of length attained. 3. The levels to which the comb regresses after adult castration are much higher than those of birds castrated when immature. The expenses of the investigation were defrayed by grants from the Medical Research Council.
