1. The erythrocytes of the pigeon's blood are described, and figures are given for the average measurements and for the value of the erythrocyte count. Two types of red blood‐cell are enumerated. 2. The leucocytes of the pigeon's blood are divisible into four classes. The following data are given concerning them, viz. differential counts, sizes, morphology, and staining reactions. It has been found impossible to obtain sufficiently accurate total white‐cell counts. 3. No thrombocytes could be demonstrated. A portion of the expenses of this research were defrayed by a grant from the Moray Fund.
