In the dog the blood‐coagulation time varies considerably in different individuals, and in the same individual from time to time. The tetany resulting from the removal of the thyroid and all the parathyroid glands does not appear to have any distinct effect on the coagulability of the blood. This applies also to the period before the onset of tetany and to that immediately succeeding it. In our experience the venosity of the blood does not seem to affect the coagulation time in the dog.
