Our aim in this paper is to establish new comparison principles. The equation( * )( r ( t ) u ′ ( t ) ) ′ + p ( t )| u ( g ( t ) ) | α sgn u ( g ( t ) ) = 0is compared with the equation( l ( t ) y ′ ( t ) ) ′ + z ( t )| y ( w ( t ) ) | β sgn y ( w ( t ) ) = 0.The equations considered can be in canonical or noncanonical forms.
