Given two self‐adjoint Hilbert space operators A , B , and a continuous function f , we prove several inequalities of the form ∥ f ( A ) X − X f ( B )∥⩽ C ( f )∥ AX − XB ∥ involving the L p ‐norm of the derivative f ′ and the Besov B r ∞,1 ‐norm of f .
