A certain general class of polynomials is defined and its properties are considered. By specializing the definition in one direction we are led to Bernoulli's polynomials of order n regarded as generalizations of x v , by specializing in another direction x v leads to Euler's polynomials of order n . The same methods are apphed to Hermite's polynomials and thus two new types of polynomial are found.
