The class of strictly angelic spaces is introduced as a natural subclass of the angelic spaces. They form a countably productive class with ideal compactness properties and can be used in theorems of Eberlein‐Šmulian type and related applications. Spaces of continuous functions with the point‐wise topology are the main subject of investigation. Much attention is also paid to L 1 , ( X , μ) and L ∞ ( X , μ) under special topologies.
