The narrative whereby the earth's atmosphere is systematically and deliberately sprayed with hazardous chemicals became increasingly popular in Greece after the onset of the economic crisis in 2009. This article explores concern over and mobilization against aerial spraying in Greece, drawing on research in relevant websites and interviews. More specifically, I examine the connections people draw between the alleged spraying operations in the Greek sky, the Greek financial crisis, and the emergence of a New World Order. The article also examines the relations between seeing, knowledge, and protection from danger from the perspective of the visual practices evidencing spraying.
