The impact of regular bisoprolol on the response to salbutamol in asthma: A double‐blind randomized placebo‐controlled crossover trial

This double‐blind randomized placebo‐controlled crossover trial in people with asthma found that the bronchodilator response to salbutamol was non‐inferior during bisoprolol treatment compared to placebo. This suggests that cardio‐selective beta 1 ‐blockers do not significantly impair the response to inhaled beta 2 ‐agonist treatment in asthma. See related Editorial
