Cytotoxic T lymphocyte‐associated antigen‐4 ( CTLA‐ 4) is involved in immune and inflammation regulation. The present study aimed to investigate the association between CTLA ‐4 and COPD . Data revealed that serum levels of CTLA ‐4 were elevated in COPD patients, inversely correlated with lung function and positively correlated with serum C ‐reactive protein levels in the COPD group. These findings suggest that CTLA ‐4 may play a role in COPD .
