Since 2008, as a prat of the nationwide long‐term monitoring survey by Japanese Ministry of Environment, seaweed communities has been monitored at six sites in Japan, featuring the kelp (e.g., Saccharina and Ecklonia ; Laminariales) and Sargassum (Fucales) communities in the subarctic and temperate regions of Japan.
