Abstract This article presents a clinical case of unilateral maxillo‐zygomatic complex fracture in a patient with cleft palate submitted to surgical treatment at the O ral and M axillofacial S urgery and T raumatology S ervice of the B auru H ospital C omplex ( B razil). Factors related to the aetiopathogenesis of the entity in question are discussed, highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and correct management with the aim of minimising complications and sequelae.
