Scilla viridis (Asparagaceae): a century of misinterpretation

Scilla viridis Blatt. & Hallb. has for a long time been treated as an unresolved name based on a single ill‐preserved specimen collected near Khandala, Pune, India, but here we show that it is a synonym of Drimia indica (Roxb.) Jessop. A second‐step lectotype is designated for Drimia indica (Roxb.) Jessop and a lectotype of Drimia coromandeliana (Roxb.) Lekhak & P.B. Yadav is rectified for errors.
