Macrofungal exploration in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh followed by a thorough examination of collected wild agaricoid mushrooms uncovered one novel species (described here as Lactifluus indovolemus sp. nov.) and two more species ( L. acicularis and L. crocatus ) new to India. Detailed morphological description, supporting illustrations and a nrITS‐based phylogenetic reconstruction is presented. A comparison with allied species is also provided.
