Low‐grade fibromyxoid sarcoma ( LGFMS ) is a rare sarcoma typically presenting as a deep soft tissue mass in the lower extremities or trunk. Only four cases of primary intracranial LGFMS have been reported in the literature, but none with molecular/cytogenetic data. We report here a new bona fide case confirmed by the characteristic FUS gene rearrangement, as shown by fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis, in addition to typical histopathological findings. This would be the first genetically confirmed report of the extremely rare occurrence of intracranial LGFMS .
