This article contends that H ans U rs von B althasar's theological focus on seeing the form of G od's glory in creation constitutes a critical resource for elaborating a contemporary C hristian theology responsive to the crisis of environmental degradation. In particular, in this article M artin H eidegger's reflections on the environmental dangers present in modern technology provide the framework for analyzing the ecological significance of B althasar's retrieval of a C hristian sacramental ontology.
