In the article by Johnson and Grossman (2014) there is an error in the description of how competent B. subtilis cells were prepared during the creation of a transposon insertion library. The error is in the left hand column on p. 1296, in the first paragraph of the section titled ‘Competent cell preparation and library transformation’. The recipe for Base medium should read ‘2.25 mM MgSO4’ rather than ‘22.5 mM MgSO4’.
