A volume rendered visualization of a Yersinia enterocolitica bacterium containing clusters of type III secretion systems (injectisomes) as imaged by cryo‐electron tomography (injectisomes in red, cell envelope in blue). Clustering of type III secretion systems may facilitiate fast and efficient protein injection into host cells during infection.
