Combined elemental, Mg‐Ca‐Al (red‐green‐blue), composition map for a section of Yamato‐82094. The image shows abundant chondrules, Al‐rich chondrules and CAIs. Matrix, dark red in color, is low in abundance. These features indicate that Y‐82094 is a new typeof carbonaceous chondrite. Image was collected using the Cameca SX‐100 at the American Museum of Natural History, NY.
