Cover: An obligate rock‐dwelling door snail, Montenegrina subcristata at the Štegvaš Pass (Rumija Mts, Montenegro). This species is endemic to the coastal region of Montenegro and Northern Albania, and is still among the widest spread species of its genus. Due to their limited capacity of active dispersal and the island‐like distribution of their preferred habitats, many micro‐endemic species and subspecies are known among rock‐dwelling gastropods. This makes them a suitable group to study speciation and various other aspects of microevolution. Copyright of picture © Tamás Deli 2015
