The teleomorph of A scochyta anemones has been recorded for the first time on overwintering windflower stalk in L iaoning, C hina. The features of this new species were described, and it was distinguished from other species to which it is similar. The morphological characteristics of this species, such as asci and ascospores, phylogenetic analysis based on internal transcribed spacer sequences, comparison with similar fungi so far described from R anunculaceae indicated that the teleomorph is an undescribed species of D idymella .
