ISWI chromatin remodeling complex plays a crucial role in plant development. In this issue, Gu et al. (pp. 1703–1716) report FHA2 as a novel subunit of ISWI complex in Arabidopsis that participates in regulating plant fertility by interacting with RLTs. The cover image shows the reproductive defects caused by the mutation of ISWI complex, which is a consequence of failure in fertilization due to impaired stamen filament elongation.
