The above article from the Journal of Diabetes Investigation , published online on 25 August 2016 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), has been retracted by agreement between the authors, the journal Editor in Chief, Nigishi Hotta, and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd. The retraction has been agreed due to duplication of the figures from another study. The editors reviewed the matter with the peer reviewers and confirmed that Figure 3 (p.441) of Pang et al . (2016) was re‐used as Figure 1, that Figure 6A (p.43) of Pang et al . (2016) was re‐used as Figure 5(a) and (b) and that Figure 6B (p.443) of Pang et al . (2016) was re‐used as Figure 6(a) and (b).
