The length‐weight relationships (LWRs) were estimated for 5 fish species of Gobioninae from the Yellow River and Huaihe River in Henan Province, China. All specimens were collected in August 2015 and June 2016, using three gillnets (25 × 1.5 m, mesh size 0.5 cm) and ten cages (0.3 × 0.3 × 10 m, mesh size 0.5 cm) at each time. Parameter b value of these 5 fish species collected in the Yellow River and Huaihe River ranged from 2.982 to 3.470, the correlation coefficient ( r 2 ) value ranged from 0.953 to 0.991. Statistical of LWRs for these 5 fish species from different populations were highly significant ( p  < 0.01).
