Length–weight relationships (LWRs) were estimated for 16 fish species in the main channel of the Negro River, in the Nhecolândia subregion of the central Pantanal wetland, Mato Grosso do Sul state, Brazil. This is the first record of LWRs for six species and new record of maximum total length for eight species. The outcomes may be used as reference of natural conditions, since this area is relatively undisturbed and well conserved.
