Summary This paper provides the length–weight relationships for 21 fish species belonging to four families and 19 genera from the Xiangjiang River, a tributary of the middle Yangtze River in China. Among them, the length–weight relationships for 14 fishes are first‐time reports for FishBase, and new maximum total lengths of 13 fishes are also reported.
